Sleep Medicine Specialist

Anam A. Sabzwari, MD, is joining UHC Pulmonology’s Sleep Medicine services after completing all rotations in sleep medicine at West Virginia University Health System’s Department of Sleep Medicine.

During his training, he worked extensively with both adult and pediatric sleep disorders.

Dr. Sabzwari earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, N.Y., and a Master of Science degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Stratford, N.J. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Mich., and a Doctor of Medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine in Willemstad, Curacao, completing all core and elective clerkships in U.S. hospitals.

His professional experience includes serving as an attending physician at an adult recovery center, resident physician at a Department of Family Medicine and attending Family Medicine physician.

He has also conducted research and taught in the areas of sleep apnea, cardiology, critical care medicine and infectious diseases. Board-eligible in sleep medicine, Dr. Sabzwari is certified in advanced cardiovascular support and basic life support.
