Devan N. Makati, MD, FASN

Nephrologist

Devan N. Makati, MD, FASN, earned his medical degree from the University of Medical and Health Sciences in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis. He completed both his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown.

In addition to having written extensively for publications and making numerous presentations concerning his field of expertise, Dr. Makati also served as a Lance Corporal in the 1st Battalion/24th Marines Headquarters and Support Company 4th Marine division in the United States Marine Corps., as well as MIANG F Co. 425th long-range surveillance.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians, Association of American Medical Colleges, American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, American Thoracic Society, and Special Operation Medical Association.
