Prashanth Thalanayar Muthukrishnan, MD (Dr. Muthu) received his medical degree from the Government Kilpauk Medical College, in India. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in McKeesport, Pa.

He completed his Critical Care fellowship at the University of Iowa Pulmonary and Critical Care. He later completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Western Reserve University/Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.

Dr. Muthukrishnan is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine by the Board of American Internal Medicine.

He has given numerous presentations to his field and he participates in ongoing research with pending publications. He holds society memberships in several professional organizations such as the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
